Not Lost

Another card inspired by my Creative Retreat class by May Flaum. This card incorporated parts of Shari Carroll’s patina project, and May Flaum’s coloring with water class.  The background is a near copy of Shari’s project – other than color. I loved what she did and wanted to try the techniques. I used Distress Paints, Liquitex Gel Medium, and Faber Castell glaze. I can see incoporating this quite often and easily into my backgrounds. The hardest part was waiting on drying time!

I used Distress Stains and my water brush to color my Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous stamp from the Time Travelers set. I used Tim Holtz distress water color paper. I love how the gentleman turned out. I used Glossy Accents on the watch face. It’s not very big, so not very noticable, but I like the small detail.

The ‘wander’ stamp quote is from a stamp I got at the Adventures In Stamping convention a few years ago before I started blogging and I don’t know from which vendor. The alphabet tiles are Spare Parts. I usually save them for extra special projects, but I decided I really loved them on this, and I have more to use. I keep having to buy more sets though, because I am out of ‘E’s again.

If I can remember, I’ll probably give this card to my dad. He loves to travel. Oh, I guess it could be for Father’s Day which comes sooner than his birthday. Maybe I can remember until June!

Have a blessed weekend,
Julie
